Max is an experienced senior executive that has led a range of cross-portfolio end-to-end transformations for government departments. This includes almost 20 years working with the Victorian Public Service delivering across strategic, project delivery and public policy settings.Max was a key executive figure in the establishment of Digital Victoria that underpinned the new Victorian Department of Government Services. He also led Cabinet approval and public release of the Victorian government’s first digital strategy.Earlier in his career Max established and led the team that designed and delivered life changing reforms coming out of the Victorian Family Violence Royal Commission, in particular the implementation of the Central Information Point - a data sharing facility that brings together people and technology to improve the decision making of family violence practitioners. Max has unique experience working with senior government officials having worked closely with the (then) Department of Justice and Regulation Secretary (Greg Wilson) as his Strategic Adviser; supporting former South Australian Police Commissioner Mal Hyde AO on a Ministerial Review into transport security for the Night Network (Victoria’s 24 hour public transport network); and coordinating the Victorian government’s response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.Max believes in reform and the importance of positive transformation and reinvention for government agencies to better serve their customers.
