Successful entrepreneur's support of the community extends far beyond just financial giving. Max was the 2009 SBA Small Business Person of the Year for Maui County. He was one of the Hawaii Business Magazine’s Fittest CEOs, Hawaii’s Most Beautiful Man, and Maui’s “Mr. Hammer” in 2009. In 2002, Max was honored with Pacific Business News’ prestigious Top 40-under-40 award in Hawaii. His company, TC Kokua, was selected as a finalist for Best Contact Center and Best Customer Service categories in The Contact Center World Awards for the Americas Region held in Dallas, Texas. The Contact Center World Awards are the industry’s most prestigious independent awards program.Max currently serves as the President of Kihei Commercial Plaza AOAO. He was a past chair of the Maui Planning Commission and Maui County Salary Commission. He also served as a Police Commissioner for Maui Country. Max is an active member of the Maui Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Business and Political Action committees of the Maui Chamber of Commerce. He was the Chairman of the Board for Maui United Way and past president and board member for Maui Young Business Round Table. Max has also served on Maui Onstage/Iao Theater boards, American Heart Association, and Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Maui. He was the past Maui Chair for the Hawaii Technology Trade Association (HTTA), a Mr./Mrs Maui competition judge, and a member of the Rotary Club of Kahului.Currently, Max is the owner of TC Kokua, an award-winning, outsourced customer support center. He was a partner at Jere Fine Jewelers and owner of MXT Holdings, a real estate holding company. He previously owned the Maui Powerhouse Gym, the Best Gym on Maui (Mauitime, Best of Maui, 2012). Max models part-time and has his fashion line, XAM…Fit Fashion For Men! Max also carried the United States Secret Security Clearance.
