From a young age, I've been inspired by the biological sciences, specifically oncology and genealogy. I have worked as a private tutor, employee at an escape room, and one of the team members on a startup called Poolcat, and I'm excited to seek entry-level work in the research industry. I graduated valedictorian from my high school class of 412 and was president of the National Honors Society. I also am passionate about theater; I was an assistant and primary stage manager for two and three productions, respectively, as well as acted in one. I'm currently participating in the Science Education Alliance-Phage Hunters Advancing Genomics and Evolutionary Science lab, and will continue in the bioinformatics section next semester, as well as a combined molecular genetics/cell biology lab, which focuses on the role of artificial sweeteners in cancer progression.
