Member of the team 'Elektronisch voorschrijven' (EVS) with specialisation within monitoring medication. We implement our EHR 'HiX' at several different healthcare instutions in The Netherlands and Belgium.Apart of implementing the EHR, I am constantly innovating the software with input of CMIO's or pharmacists of healthcare instutions, taking into account regulations of (inter)national institutions.

At Medify I performed an internship for my master thesis with the question 'What is the impact of the implementation of a teleconsulting eHealth solution on the performance and indication of a health care organisation'. I have looked at the different goals set within health care organisations concerning eHealth implementations and how the organisation wants to achieve these goals. By interviewing (team)managers of different departments within hospitals I have created a operational dashboard that can be used by these managers to track their performances while implementing an eHealth solution. On top of that, I have created a decision tool for these managers to decide which eHealth solution needs to be implemented in order to achieve the goals as fast a possible.

Tutoring people in different beta subjects. This was done via a physical appointment or via videocalls.

During my 7 months at this company I have set up three different trials for gathering new data in order to improve an algorithm. These trials were conducted among 250 students and other interested people as well as over 60 types of smartphones. By analysing this with colleagues we discovered new findings that are implemented in their algorithm nowadays. This algorithm is used to detect heart rhythm and heart rhythm disorders with the smartphone.

Helping high school students with their homework in a class. After a couple of weeks I did also one-on-one teaching of math, biology and other beta sciences.

At the Bioinformatics department I investigated the role of newly discovered genes that could play a role in Rett syndrome and how these new genes fit in the complex network of genes already involved in Rett syndrome. I did this via online tools such as PathVisio, Cytoscape and GoElite. By meeting with fellow interns I learned on how to tackle certain problems they had as well. At the end I wrote my bachelor thesis with the title 'Investigation of altered biological pathways in Rett syndrome using systems biology tools' which was rewarded with a 9 out of 10,

I was partially responsible for keeping the right amount of goods in stock and I was responsible for loading and unloading of the trucks. I also educated new employees to become more efficient. I started in the re-stock team which involved stocking the shelves and helping customers with all sorts of questions.
