The Technical Program Manager is a member of the national laboratory leadership team, and my responsibilities include: • Influencing and facilitating system and division-wide standardization and efficiency • Supporting procurement efforts and oversight of the implementation of new testing platforms and assays on a macro scale throughout the enterprise • Assisting with setting up new laboratory service lines that will be better served through divisionalization and regionalization • Championing collaboration and the continuous development of technical skills and institutional knowledge of clinical laboratory science throughout our 140+ laboratories

New position created to oversee the Clinical Laboratory Technical Coordinators (Departmental Section Chiefs) in the six hospitals of the Sacramento Region. Responsibilities include assessing the oversight being performed in each section of the laboratories at each hospitals, standardizing practices, training of Technical Coordinators and their staffs, and assisting in several projects whose purpose is to improve the quality, capacity, and efficiency of laboratory workflow.

Oversight of all aspects of the testing environment, including QC & QA, calibration verification and instrument correlation, inventory, training, installation of new testing, policies and procedures, data collection analysis, LIS test database creation and maintenance, instrument interface installation and maintenance, autovalidation organization and oversight, middleware configuration and maintenance, record collection and storage, periodic audits of performance, oversight of proficiency testing competency assessment, other duties as required by laboratory administration and/or circumstance.Other Achievements:• Co-Chair LMH Employee Advisory Board; EAB formed to advise and assist hospital administration to improve communications and increase trust throughout the organization• Way-finding Task Force reviewed current way-finding in the hospital and created a standardized method of signage, position location, and labeling to improve navigation of community members• Design and creation of new remodeled laboratory with efficient workflow• Organization-wide LEAN Strike Force; received extra training and completed a project to improve efficiency and decrease waste in processes for the organization• CQI – assisted in creation and tracking of several multi-departmental CQI initiatives• Anticoagulant Task Force – review of current practices, creation of anticoagulant protocols, implementation of new testing to provide appropriate clinical service, measured outcomes• STAT TAT Committee – chair of committee to review current practices for STAT testing and create new processes to improve performance and decrease turn around times for testing• Laboratory Leadership Team – Senior member of clinical laboratory leadership team• United Way – Laboratory coordinator for LMH United Way efforts
