One weekend working in my local village pub is all it took to spark an 8-year love affair with the hospitality industry. I'm not sure if it was the thrill of a bustling bar or that I was getting to know so many new people, either way, I knew I'd found my calling. It wasn't just the drama student in me wanting to show off my personality, I wanted to know everything! How do I create the best atmosphere for my guests?How do we know how much to charge for things?Why is Mr. Brightside on every single playlist?As much as I enjoyed my formative time working there, I knew that I wanted more. Cocktail bartending was the logical next step, and with it came a whole new world of opportunities for me to learn and grow from. Learning about different spirits, flavour profiles, and techniques allowed me to develop menus, take part in competitions, and eventually lead tastings and training sessions to pass on what I'd learned to others.As up and down this ever-evolving industry may be, it has granted me many unforgettable experiences, I love it with a passion that drives me to keep growing.
