As Community Manager, I am responsible for the financial and operational activities for a residence hall community consisting of 4 buildings and over 350 residents. I directly supervise 6 office assistants, who work in the community office everyday and service the needs of residents. Additionally, I create and maintain the duty schedule for 14 resident advisors. Finally, I am responsible for managing the community budget which totals over $90,000.

As the summer college law intern, I had a number of roles and responsibilities. I analyzed deposition transcripts and prepared summaries for supervising attorneys. I completed a document preparation project in which I had to organize and index over 1000 sheets of legal records and trial transcripts. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to sit in on several conference calls and hearings. My internship culminated in creating an exhibit that would be used in a hearing. To create this document, I had to compare hundreds of receipts and business records and develop a spreadsheet analysis.

I observed and trained with contract and commercial surety underwriters. Furthermore I enhanced my understanding of insurance, surety, financial statements, and credit reports by analyzing and presenting case studies to managers. My internship culminated in my passing of the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding 151 Test.

As a resident advisor, my main responsibility was assisting 30 first year residents in adjusting to life at the university. In order to facilitate this and build community, I implemented a number of social and educational programs that my residents took part in. Additionally, I conducted regular office and clerical duties and enforced the community living standards.
