In my role as a Donor Engagement Advisor at CRS, I manage a portfolio of foundation and corporate donor relationships, guiding engagements from initial contact through to proposal development, implementation, and reporting. I lead knowledge management and learning initiatives, creating internal and external communications materials to support donor engagement. My responsibilities also include conducting prospect research to expand CRS’s donor base, particularly focusing on new foundation and corporate partnerships.I support field-based business development and program staff with prospect research and ensure compliance with donor requirements throughout project implementation. Additionally, I facilitate communication between project teams and donors, ensuring that achievements, challenges, and learnings are effectively communicated.

Following the completing of my graduate studies and my work as a TA, I transitioned to working remotely for World Food Programme as a Resilience Monitoring Specialist. My role included:-Documenting learnings and developing materials for Resilience Monitoring and Measurement presentation to WFP Executive Board. -Coordinating learnings on Theories of Change and Resilience Monitoring and Measurement.-Supporting pilots of World Food Program's Resilience Building Blocks tool for resilience monitoring and measurement.

While completing my graduate studies, I worked as a Research Assistant with Dr. Mark Constas of the Cornell Dyson School of business. My achievements included: -Co-author of Measuring Progress Toward the Malabo Declaration Goals in the Midst of COVID-19: A Measurement Approach for a Health Systems Sensitive Resilience Index. -Supported development of World Food Program's Resilience Building Blocks tool.

Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

At World Food Programme I work as a Communications Consultant. I also work with Donor Relations, reporting, proposal writing, editing copy, photography, design, writing, and developing social media posts for WFP locally and globally.WFP Tanzania has an annual budget of around US$ 80 million and receives no core funding. This means that we are very busy fundraising and communicating our needs to donors. We then have 10 - 20 donor reports that we are required to submit throughout the year in addition to monthly Country Briefs and an Annual Country Report. I typically lead on writing and/or editing these reports.In 2018 our team developed program specific communication and partnership plans including the Country Office's communications strategy. These strategies guide the majority of our working in Communications and Donor Relations.

Tanzania

-Designed and assisted in the implementation of the LISHE RUVUMA behavior changecommunication campaign focused on reducing stunting. We reached over 7,245 individuals in the Tunduru District of Ruvuma.-Managed and assisted in the design and implementation of the MEDA fortified crude sunflower oil nutrition project in Manyara and Shinyanga.-Managed the Community Based Organizations implementing the projects activities in Manyara region.-Oversaw the campaign launch of the MEDA fortified crude sunflower oil project in Babati and Katesh.-Trained over 70 ward level volunteers in village level campaign promotion activities.-Worked closely with and oriented district, regional, and ministry level government officials.-Designed and adapted print messages, and the community resource kit manual for educating at the village level.-Assisted with updates and upkeep for the TCDC’s website, Facebook and Twitter.-Served as a Peace Corps Extension Volunteer.

Igima Ward, Njombe, Tanzania

During my time in Peace Corps, my achievements included:-Implemented USAID’s Feed the Future Initiatives at a village level.-Wrote and was awarded a $2,000 Grant from the US Embassy in Dar Es Salaam in order to install solar power at the village Health clinic.-Oversaw and managed the building of a rainwater-catchment system integrated with eight new latrines at the village primary school.-Worked with local farmers group to finish a drip irrigation system and advised on ways to improvenutrition and income generation.-Started a tree nursery at the local primary school and taught about beneficial tree species, wind breaks, and natural fertilizers.-Hosted a two-day science competition with 28 students at the local primary school withtwo other neighboring schools competing, and local secondary studentsleading, teaching, and demonstrating science experiments.-Managed health linkages between the district government and village health clinic tohost a HIV/AIDS awareness and testing day and to distribute condoms. Two hundredcommunity members were tested for HIV/AIDS and 500 participated in the educationsession. An additional 30 village youths were educated on safe sex practices and on riskybehavior, and assisted in distribution of condoms from district to local shops and bars.-Started an Environmental Club at the nearby secondary school, discussing topics such as ecosystems, compost, plant biology, and nutrition. - Organized and lead a four-day girls’ empowerment conference with five participating schools, teaching HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention as well as nutrition, leadership and life skills.-Taught English and Math at the local primary school.During my service I also attended trainings in:- Project Design and Management- Permagardening and Bio-Intensive Gardening- Zinduka (Grassroots Soccer)- Malaria Prevention Outreach and Community Mobilizing- Fuel Efficient Stove Construction- Food Security and Integrated Pest Management
