Currently, I serve as a Donor Engagement Advisor at Catholic Relief Services (CRS) within the Foundations and Corporate Engagement unit . In this role, I steward a portfolio of foundation donor relationships, engaging with current and prospective donors throughout the business development life cycle. My responsibilities include supporting pre-positioning, capture, proposal development, implementation, and reporting in compliance with donor requirements. I also lead knowledge management and learning initiatives, develop internal and external communications materials, and conduct prospect research to expand CRS’s donor base.As an MPS graduate from Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, I specialized in Global Development, focusing on the intersections of rural communities, resilience, nutrition, and climate change.Before joining CRS, I spent eight years in Tanzania, where I most recently served as a Communications Consultant for the World Food Program (WFP) Tanzania. In this role, I crafted stories, news releases, reports, proposals, and social media content, while also engaging in donor relations, photography, and design. WFP Tanzania’s initiatives included food assistance for refugees, nutrition programs, support for smallholder farmers, and supply chain innovations.Prior to WFP, I managed the nutrition program at the Tanzania Communication and Development Center. My work involved adapting social behavior change communication strategies to enhance nutrition for young children and pregnant and nursing mothers, reaching over 10,000 individuals across seven districts in three regions.During my Peace Corps service, I honed my project management and design skills in health, HIV, and sustainable agriculture. In the village of Mlevela, Njombe Region, I led projects such as constructing modern latrines with a 3000L rainwater catchment system at the primary school, installing solar power at the health clinic, and organizing an HIV awareness and testing soccer tournament.
