Lifeguard responsibilities included protecting individuals from surf, currents, motorboats, and drowning, moving docks on and off a crane boat, ensuring that Coast Guard regulations are met on a 100-ton vessel, and general maintenance. Internship responsibilities included planning logistics for shuttle boats and customer transportation, event planning, creating safety protocol for Coast Guard inspection, create and maintain database of contacts, and evaluate inventory. Utilized beginning Japanese with tourists.

Tacoma

Created lifeguard schedules and contact staff to fill rosters, assisted the Senior Aquatics Director in hiring, regularly drill lifeguards to meet state and YMCA auditing requirements, planned monthly in-services and skills checks, performed weekly maintenance on the oxygen tanks and first aid kits, and work closely with kids and families.

Hawaii Loa Campus

Developed and maintained communication with Residence life and residents in the halls, planned events, developed the community within the halls and supported department goals and projects. Advertised events by creating flyers and awareness on campus. As a University representative, I maintained confidentiality of my department and of my residents, and managed meetings.
