Senior developer on the Nike B2B Portal project as part of Go To Market Solutions where I worked on both the Java (Spring Framework) backend REST services and the AngularJS front end. This position required fast cadence Scrum development within a continuous integration and delivery environment using Agile methodologies. All development is test driven with a heavy focus on unit and integration testing to maintain high reliability of production environments.

Founded a small software development firm with a peak team size of 11 developers. The company worked on in-house products as well as the development of web applications, websites and mobile applications for other businesses. I managed the relationship with the clients, the software development team, and the company budget. I also mentored the junior developers on best practices, programming methodologies, time management, and new languages.

I developed and maintained various Java applets, Perl scripts and whole sections of product documentation. I was also the primary web publisher of news to the front page of Sun’s Java site, collaborating with a team of writers, editors, and graphic artists. If you downloaded the Java JDK between 2000 and 2005, it used systems that were developed by me.

Started a web development and web hosting company out of my home in the early years of the Internet. The business started with the development of websites for local businesses but quickly expanded. By late 1999 I had developed hundreds of websites for companies nationwide. The portfolio of this work provided the foundation that led to my professional career in the industry.
