Hello! I am a PhD candidate in economics at the University of British Columbia. I bring applied microeconomic and spatial methods to the study of public, urban, and education economics and policy.My current research examines unequal capital investment across K-12 schools, with a focus on understanding how disparities in facility investment drive household sorting and segregation across schools and neighborhoods.Spatial inequality became a deep interest of mine during six years of post-college work experience advising political campaigns and nonprofit organizations in Nevada County, California. These roles brought me in close contact with local economic development efforts and public goods concerns, such as emergency services and water. I found I longed for a stronger framework to understand these issues, sparking academic exploration that led me to the PhD in economics.I really enjoy connecting with people to discuss ideas and research.
