Inspired by classic artists like The Who, Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Rush, and Jeff Beck, Max is melding those influences with the contemporary sounds of Alter Bridge, Periphery, The Contortionist, and many others to create a new sound for the next generation. He has been playing guitar since the age of 6 in forums ranging from a master class with Pepe Romero to opening for Steve Vai, to playing with Dweezil Zappa, and gigging constantly at venues like the legendary Stone Pony, the Bergen Pac, and hard rock staple Ding Batz in North Jersey. After studying at the Manhattan School of Music, Max moved to the Berklee College of Music to pursue his passion in Music Production/Engineering, Performance, and Contemporary Writing. Fall of 2019 he received his bachelors in Professional Music with focuses in Performance, Music Production/Engineering, and Contemporary Writing.Max is the leader/songwriter of a progressive rock/metal/fusion solo project. He has released 4 singles from the upcoming EP Primal Electric, slated for release fall 2020. All releases have been recorded mixed and mastered by him. Along with his solo work Max is also the guitarist in progressive rock band Garnet, formed by pianist and composer Darion Roberts. Max is involved in numerous collaborations with other artists in addition. Max teaches privately and freelances on guitar and bass for live performances and studio work. He also is a freelance recording and mix engineer.
