I am highly invested in people and hope to help others reach their full potential.Ministry 4 yrs | Teaching & Coaching 3 yrs | Counseling & Advising 3 yrs | Construction 3 yrs | Freelance Writing 2 yrsMy greatest strengths come from synthesizing experiences from a wide range of work and study. I grew up on the front range of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado. This environment helped me be creative in applying skills from one area of life to another. I started my first job in construction as a freshman in high school, where I realized my passion for boxing had built up a strong internal drive and work ethic. These continue to be tested and grown at different companies and schools I go to. I found a passion for helping others when I started attending Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. I went to study history to gain a better understanding of other cultures and make sense of why the world changes the way it does. While at school I saw how close the community was between the resident advisors (RAs) and the ways they supported other students and became enamored with the work. During my time as an RA, I learned how to run multiple monthly events and programs and work closely with a staff of 18 in a hall of over 700 residents. I saw my second year as a chance to be a better leader and focus on the needs of my residents. The most important shift was changing my leadership style from insecure and authoritative to confident and transformative. This freed me to develop friendships and community, and truly mentor and care for my residents.During my final year of undergraduate study I looked for other avenues where my skillset could be helpful and expanded. I worked at a therapeutic group home for youth, as a sign language teaching assistant, and as a dishwasher. I also volunteered as a secretary for a campus ministry. All of these things taught me time management, discipline, and how to listen to others. After graduating I continued to serve in my ministry and took up work in a metal fabrication shop. As the COVID-19 pandemic started to affect local work I began applying to graduate programs. I was accepted to an M.Div program at Pacific Rim Christian University in Oahu, Hawaii where I studied for a year before transferring to Lipscomb University in 2021. Through this time I have grown in the areas of spiritual counseling, resilience, and dedication.I also respond at MaxBrachvogel@gmail.comValues: 1) Humility2) Integrity3) AuthenticityPersonality:MBTI | INFJ-AEnneagram | 4w5DiSC | Sc
