The VIPER voice communications system affords a wide range of emergency responders the ability to communicate statewide and across multiple agencies and disciplines at the federal, state and local level. Planned and unplanned occurrences within the state may require a diverse and far reaching response from a multitude of emergency responders. I serve as a specialist for the existing microwave network as well as the construction to expand the network statewide. I manage multiple vendors, work with Federal, State and local partners, identify and negotiate future potential tower sites, manage the construction process and overall management of approximately 40+ field employees.
