I have 25 years experience working in a sales capacity in the UK and European financial markets, advising institutional investors on stock market investments. My time in the stock markets spanned pre and post "Big Bang" and I have experienced working in a partnership culture at Williams de Broe and Phillips & Drew, and the corporate culture of latter day investment banks aka UBS, Paribas, Salomon Bros and Citigroup. During my time in stockbroking I have learned how to plan and prepare, how to build rapport and relationships with fellow professionals and how to think ahead and anticipate problems before they happen. This complements my natural strengths, which are taking pride in everything I do, an adherence to following guidelines and procedures, a natural ability to focus on detail, an ability to listen, and a desire to be well organised. I have a capacity to genuinely accept people for who they are, and to take ownership of everything I do and to hold myself accountable for doing it.I have worked overseas in Ukraine, done charity work and helped coach young footballers in my capacity as a qualified FA Youth coach. I have always enjoyed mentoring young colleagues during my time in stockbroking, and would like to work with young people in the future. I have a passion for sport and enjoy the competitive nature of playing sport whilst totally embracing the belief in fair play.
