Participation in the process of developing a compliance offset project protocol for anaerobic digestion of livestock manure, to be used in the Canadian Federal offsets program.

Develop new greenhouse gas emissions reduction project protocols, maintain existing protocols, and train and oversee project developers and verifiers. I work closely with the staff at the CA Air Resources Board on the implementation of the compliance offsets program. Work to advance the growth and development of the Reserve offsets program. • Managed the process for updates and maintenance of the Reserve’s suite of non-forest carbon offset project protocols.• Managed the technical implementation of the Landfill and Livestock Project Protocols, including the training of Lead Verifiers and Project Developers.• Developed Landfill Project Protocol V4.0, which representing a significant technical improvement to the previous performance standard.• Support the implementation of Organic Waste Digestion, Organic Waste Composting, and Coal Mine Methane Project Protocols.• Reviewed and signed off on project submittals, verification reports, and variance requests.• Worked cross-functionally with the Policy and Programs Teams on research and technical work to support development of new policies and protocols.

• Built and managed a sophisticated model which is utilized by the Reserve for predicting the issuance of offset credits based on multiple dynamic variables, as well as to estimate revenue flow to establish the annual organizational budget. • Served as one of the primary public representatives of the Reserve, having represented the organization at more than 40 meetings, conferences, workshops, and industry events, including more than 35 speaking engagements.• Managed multiple concurrent events including the organization of 13 outreach workshops on specific project protocols in the U.S. and Mexico. • Organized and managed the California delegation to the 16th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC in Cancun, Mexico, December 2010.
