As coordinator, I manage specific projects and programs, namely Project TRUE, a teen internship program offered in collaboration with Fordham University. I lead the implementation of the in-person portions of this program, including mentoring undergraduate and high school youth in science research, communication, and youth development.Moreover, I work closely with numerous internal and external partners to plan and implement these education programs and events. Worked under the supervision of a post-doctoral researcher conducting an ongoing study alongside a local non-governmental conservation organization to determine dispersal rates and distances of the threatened rhinoceros iguana (Cyclura cornuta).Located subterranean nests and constructed fences around them, returning twice daily to monitor the state of the nest and hatchlings.Equipped hatchling iguanas with transmitter radios and tracked them through rough, dry forest terrain in two locally protected habitats using telemetry and GPS-point navigation.Baited and monitored Havahart single-door traps to capture adult iguanas for biometric sampling, as well as feral cats and mongooses for invasive species management.Took biometric measurements and DNA blood/toe clipping samples from adult and hatchling individuals.Recorded, managed, and entered data on GPS devices, field notebooks, and Excel spreadsheets.

Worked on a small team of field technicians in an isolated environment to collect data for a long-term study on songbird ecology and diversity in privately and publicly owned ranch lands in rural Montana.Conducted abundance surveys of grassland birds using the dependent double observer transect method.Conducted nest-search surveys using drag chain and dowel methods and monitored nests to collect data on fledgling growth and nest abundance.Recorded, managed, and proofread data using Garmin GPS devices, BaseCamp, and Microsoft Access.Identified over 100 species of grassland birds by sight and sound.
