I was a core contributor to the first and second generations of Citrine's materials discovery platform and the technical lead for the platform and infrastructure team. At different stages I wrote front-end, back-end, and infrastructure code which supported tools for scientists to catalog and discover new materials using machine learning methods.A few examples of this work include:- Design and implementation of data access control and authorization systems- Development of an API for design of experiments- Full stack web engineering in Ruby on Rails, Typescript and Python utilizing technologies like Postgres, Redis, and AWS services including Lambda, Cognito, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, ECR, and RDS- Cloudformation based infrastructure provisioning automation for container based services- CI/CD pipeline construction including UI and API integration tests with builds triggered on version control changes- Development of a python library for integrating interactions with the platform with standard data science workflows

Worked in an Agile software development environment as a one man QA team and a bridge between the development team and the marketing/sales team. I designed automated UI test suites using Selenium and C# and constructed rigorous manual testing processes to prevent regression across a complex web application. Additionally, I verified bug fixes and designed office wide test suites to simulate multi user loads on specific sections of the software. I was also responsible for writing cohesive user facing documentation.
