Singer, Songwriter, Piano Player, Max is from Nottingham, living in Ireland since 2005. Playing throughout Europe, America, and on Later with Jools Holland, collaborations with Artists include Iarla Ó’Lionáird (The Gloaming), Mik Pyro (Republic of Loose), Jack L, Vyvienne Long, Jerry Fish, Tom Baxter, Albert Hammond, Adrian Crowley, Charlie Winston, Mick Hanly, Gerr Walsh, Fionn Regan, and The London Community Gospel Choir. He currently plays with Folk Trio Iona Sound, Blues band Otis, Mundy and Jerry Fish.Two critically acclaimed albums of original songs have seen music used in Film & TV.Max teaches at Third-level in BIMM Institute, at Secondary level for Music Generation, and in Blackrock College.Educational research conducted with BIMM investigated using Teacher-modelled learning to drive strong engagement and achievement within online collaborative classrooms, instigating the design of new modules at BIMM Institute.Community Songwriting-Performance projects include Sing a Song of Docklands, and the song The RICCYS of Raytown, commissioned by Dublin City Council to support local community in artistically celebrate the culture and history of Dublin’s Docklands, in collaboration with artist Jerry Fish and youths from Ringsend & Irishtown Community Centre.
