Dedicated to the labour movement for the better part of the last decade, I’ve worked with unions in the United States, Canada, Iceland, and Japan.I’ve guided people in getting a union at their job for the first time, making it effective, and sound good. But a major specialization of mine is helping unions undergoing renewal to re-engage and place members in a credible strike position for leverage at the bargaining table. By rebuilding shop steward skills and networks, and building durable internal structures for union democracy, it is possible to generate a powerful wave of membership engagement and mobilization in a relatively short amount of time.
