About Maxime Bourguignon

I started my scientific life by studying chemistry at University of Liège in polymer chemistry. After being graduated in 2012, I decided to learn something new and I was attracted by biotechnology field. After a 9 month formation about proteins production, I started to work for Symbiose Biomaterials, a nice start-up with ambition in bioactive coating and bioinspired approached, were I combined lab work and project leading by preparing experimental procedure, meeting and presentation. I acquired a lot of knowledge about proteins production and immobilization on polymeric matrix. I got also the chance to participate actively to the elaboration of quality system as equipment supervisor. 2.5 years after, I decided to leave SB to start a PhD in polymer chemistry at CERM (ULiège) in the field of a FEDER project with the purpose to purify indoor air thanks to enzyme immobilized on polymer. During this, my work was mostly dedicated to the development of new CO2 sourced and isocyanate free polyurethane coating. After defending my pHD thesis, I started to work on new project to develop self-blown non isocyanate polyurethane foam.
