About Maxime Gaignard

After falling in love with physics in high-school, I had an heterogeneous formation, with a university degree in applied sciences, an international degree in environmental engineering and a master degree in nanophysics. Thanks to the experimental and theoretical skills I obtained during these formations, I started a PhD in 2020 at Néel institute, Grenoble, France. I recently started my third and last year.My research work takes place in the field of quantum communications and cryptography. My objective is to characterize a source of entangled photon pairs, made of a semiconductor quantum dot embedded in an innovant photonic structure.
