I led the development of de-iced turbine entry temperature probe from their redesign to their qualification, it includes: -Management of the project and of the team, -Implementation of reliability study for concept validation (Failure Mode Effects Analysis and Mean Time Between Failure calculation…), -Realization of CFD analysis and wind tunnel test to ensure product performances, -Writing of official and milestone documentations (Compliance Matrix, Validation and Verification Matrix, Declaration of Design and Performance), -Setting up and organization of Design Assurance Test and Qualification campaign.I also contributed to the development of new aerodynamic shape and manufacturing process to pass future icing conditions -Creation of new prod designs with a measurement error 10% lower than current design thanks to CFD simulation and wind tunnel test, -Improvement the de-icing ability of probes by using heater surfaces rather than heater cable.

Cranfield University

The aim of this work was to aid the development of a validated CFD method for full-scale vortex convection and vortex ingestion simulations. This study was undertaken by using ANSYS ICEM for the grid generation and ANSYS FLUENT for the CFD simulation.
