In Structure and Dynamics of Soft Matter team, I'm working on membrane fusion induced by weak and specific interactions. The aim of the project is to improve and control the frequency of fusion occurrence between vesicles in synthetic biology context.During my first year, I've been familiar with homemade Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and Contrast Phase and Polarized Light Microscopy techniques. These experiments allow me to know information about size distribution and morphology of liposome. Thanks to micro-Differential Scanning Calorimetry (micro-DSC) characterization and Small and Weak Angle X-Ray Scattering (SAXS and WAXS), I can characterize the bilayer properties (gel or fluid phase, bilayer thickness ...).

In Fabienne Gauffre team (now part of COrInt group), I worked on synthesis of nano-objects for medical imaging called Hybridosomes. I characterized theses nano-objets with :- Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis and Dynamic Light Scattering from Malvern for Hybridosomes distribution size and zeta potential - Transmission Electron Microscope for Hybridosomes shapes and morphologyThanks to these techniques, I have studied the stability of these nano-assemblies at different pHs and analyzed the structure and elasticity of Hybrisodomes by applying an osmotic pressure. This last subject leads to a scientific article (Soft Matter, 2017, 13, 4393-4400)
