I am an architectural designer based in Cambridge. Originally from Oxford, I studied architecture at the University of Liverpool, where in my third year I joined Johanna Muszbek's design studio which focused on London's housing typologies. I graduated with first-class honours, achieving the highest mark in my unit, and being awarded the John Rankin prize for the best 3rd year design. During my time at the Liverpool School of Architecture, I had the honour of being taught by Dave King FRSA and reviewed by Michael Wilford CBE.In the summer of 2018, I moved to Cambridge to work alongside Nicholas Ray at NRAP Architects. During my time there, I had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects, including student accommodation for King's College, biolabs in Edinburgh, a sports hall for a grammar school, and various one-off private houses. I am particularly grateful to have been given the opportunity to lead two projects from start to finish: AstraZeneca City House and 95 Regent Street.I was then accepted onto the MPhil course in Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Cambridge (Jesus College), where, under the supervision of Max Sternberg, I undertook research on Parisian mosques.I now offer my skills and knowledge towards the design, construction, and management of built projects, architectural photography, and research. I believe in a phenomenological and idealist approach; I strive to incorporate theory in my practice. I am fascinated by pure mathematics and its hidden patterns in everyday life and objects. The exploration of such ideas is often the starting point in my projects, and these concepts frequently have a place in my completed schemes, no matter how obvious or discreet they may be. Above all, I value the relationship with my clients, with whom I work closely to deliver projects of enduring beauty and harmony, with budgetary constraints and site-specific contextual influences in the forefront of my considerations.Research I have been involved in has been exhibited internationally, including at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale, the 12th International São Paolo Architecture Biennial, and the University of Miami. I regularly attend undergraduate reviews at the University of Liverpool as a guest critic and have mentored 3rd year architecture students at the University of Cambridge. I am currently a professional mentor for undergraduate students of Jesus College, Cambridge, as well as other members of its alumni community.
