Day to day servicing the Service Work Order system, loading programs on PCs, troubleshooting PC problems, printing problems, and other computer peripherals, cabling problems, connection problems, PC modem connectivity, etc. Most times I am required to create and enforce a solution on the spot.Achievements• Updates and applies vendor upgrades and patches to network PCs and peripherals, and network printers.• Reconfigures PCs and Printers and maintains them working on the networks.• Advises staff on policy and procedure for the use of stand-alone and network automated equipment and software.Accomplishments• During my first days of work I was informed there was an issue with our company's public access points (computers where users who visit any of our sites can use to find jobs, etc) not functioning. I spent two days researching the issue via documentations and solved the problem by upgrading our thin-clients firmware, port-forwarding the required ports, and reinstalling the software single handedly on over 70 devices. • I created and enforced a solution to replace our conferencing system location at each center in the region (6 cities), which was going out of business and would no longer be functional, in under two months. Effectively saving my company thousands of dollars and making the process a lot simpler along the way. • Simplified and upgraded the cybersecurity foundation of our network, effectively saving my company thousands upon thousands of dollars. Preventing any further ransomware attacks, and keeping staff data secure by virtualizing and replacing the old server database.
