About Maximo Torres Rangel

As an Aerospace Engineering student at The University of Texas at Austin, I am passionate about anything that drives, flies or launches and the systems used in each. Currently, I’m the Chief Engineer of Longhorn Racing Combustion, a Formula SAE team that designs, builds, and tests a single-seat open wheel race car. In this role, I oversee the engineering efforts of a team composed of 85 college students over a one-year design and production cycle. My goal is to continue learning and advancing my knowledge and abilities in engineering design, manufacturing and systems engineering.
