Responsibilities include: Inventory management, sales reporting, and marketing initiatives. Ensure appropriate staffing levels; Recruit for openings; Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and direction based on strategic goals for the department. Oversee workload and productivity; Assess and make recommendations for workflow efficiencies; Enforce policies and procedures. Monitor financial performance of the Shop, including but not limited to: Establish annual budget including sales goals; Facilitate quarterly budget meetings; Track sales; Generate weekly sales report. Report consignment sales to the Finance Department to distribute payments to artists. Coordinate marketing functions, including but not limited to: Create content for social media outlets and press releases; Develop promotional biographies for artists and featured artwork. Organize and display merchandise in conjunction with exhibitions, art shows and special events, with a consideration to buying audience and season. Manage merchandise inventory, track sales, and make recommendations to improve sales and profitability. Manage office supply inventory for Shop. Perform other duties and assignments as needed.
