Managing school reception providing a friendly & professional level of customer service as first point of contact for the school. · Showing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to all levels and situations via telephone, email and face to face. · Greeting all visitors, checking that relevant paperwork & identification is provided. · Taking enquires from potential & current parents, issuing new starter information, processing applications and admissions documentation. Inputting information onto SIMS (School Management Information System). · Maintaining / updating both paper and digital files ensuring all data is accurately and confidentially processed according to General Data Protection Regulations. · Processing leaver’s files and information, communicating with local authorities and schools to ensure a smooth transfer for the pupil. · Providing administration support to the Head Teacher, Business Manager and other staff as and when required. · Confidently working on own initiative to prioritise a busy work load, while working as part of a team to help create a positive and efficient working environment. · Utilising a good eye for detail and taking initiative to improve efficiency of procedures. · Competent in using a wide range of IT systems including SIMS (School Management Information System), Parentmail, Inventry (visitor management system), Single Central Record, Word, and Excel. · Recording staff & pupil absence ensuring relevant forms are completed. · Processing of pupil lunch choices and charging to parent accounts. Checking payments are up to date. Liasing with catering staff to ensure menus are correct and dietary requirements are met. · Working with supply agencies to arrange supply staff, authorising timesheets. · Liaising with outside organisations to arrange various school visits such as pupil immunisations and school photos. · Maintaining/ordering stationery, photocopier & first aid supplies.
