At United Response, I am responsible for managing and expanding our portfolio of trusts, foundations and statutory funders.My duties include:Prospect identification, research and horizon scanning.Developing, writing and submitting high-quality grant applications and reports.Working to activity and financial targets, cultivating prospects and securing grants.Ensuring that conditions and criteria of grants are tracked against outcomes.Stewarding funders, including thank you letters, reporting and monitoring, event invitations, and meetings.Representing United Response to external trusts and funders.Managing and promoting the internal grants scheme - Small Sparks.Building solid relationships with colleagues across the organisation to ensure projects are well managed from initiation to end.Ensuring interactions with prospects and donors are recorded on CRM and managed in compliance with the DPA and internal policies.Developing policies and procedures to support the work of the fundraising team.

At Nottingham Trent University, I was responsible for implementing a donor stewardship strategy across all giving levels and areas; individuals, grant-making trusts, corporate partners and other organisations. I also had full responsibility for the development of the philanthropically funded scholarships and bursaries programme and all donor-related event management.

This was my first taste of working within a professional fundraising setting. Here, I provided administrative support to the whole department; development services; philanthropy and alumni relations. This included processing all donations given to the university, thanking donors, events support, data entry, coordinating direct marketing mail-outs and supporting community fundraising events and participants.
