CurrentDirect and administer daily police operations related to law enforcement, life and property protection, and crime prevention as well as develop departmental goals, policies and priorities. Currently, oversee and manage over 30 commissioned and civilian employees and over a million dollars in assets received, tagged and handled by MPD and other local, state and federal agencies. Additionally, oversee the disposition of guns, narcotics and general properties. Liaise with city, county, and federal agencies involved in law enforcement as well as represent the department at various community meetings to promote department goals and missions. As Program Director and coordinator, implemented and managed more than five city/department wide programs, developing a variety of instruction manuals, curriculum and communication materials including lesson plans, outreach letters, department notices, practical exercises and post instruction tests for use by all officers. Most notably, as Accreditation Manager for MPD Training Academy, obtained the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) accreditation. As station commander, led and supervised over 60 uniform officers and six lieutenants in the performance and administration of police patrol, investigation, traffic control and related law enforcement activities within low income neighborhoods with diverse population and high-volume of crime. Previous titles held includes: Station Commander, Supervisor of Employment, Station Supervisor, Administrative Assistant to the Director of Police Service, District Attorney, Sex Crime and Internal Affairs Investigator, Vehicle Theft Supervisor, Supervisor of Community Policing (CoACT), Certified Training Academy Instructor and Police Service Technician (PST) Coordinator - Led and oversaw the recruiting and hiring for 148 recruits in the 123rd Police/53rd PST Recruit Sessions - Recognized by Mayor Strickland for Superior Job Performance
