Spearheading the editorial direction of the paper also meant launching new initiatives such as a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee and The Student Life Podcast, Splash. As an intern, I attended pitch meetings with senior editors and participated in seminars on global challenges hosted by the Council, learning about the inner workings of a multi-platform media organization and its role in shaping opinion and policy.
