Technical Director / Events Director / Marketing PRJune 2008 – August 2010My initial role was as Project Manager of the build stage of the construction of the venue, moving into a more senior management position once the venue was complete.The project began in the design and build stages of construction, my role as project manager included :• Overseeing Architects and Contractors• Liaising between fit out contractors and on site management for AV install, interior design and general construction• Liaising with architects on proper design of theatre / arena• Recruiting staff – Sales team, Event Team and Administrative Team• Preparing Health and Safety manuals • Preparing policies and procedures• Working alongside the PR company to deliver brand and corporate imageVenue Managment :• Managing the Technical Team (includes technicians and assistants)• Managing the Events team – this includes both in house productions and outside hire• Sales – ongoing sales and business development for the building• Content for the website – Writing all copy for website as well as Press Releases• Weekly meeting with PR company to determine progress and brain storm ideas for upcoming shows• Preparing and co-ordinate schedules for in house and external productions
