About Max Keeling

Hi, I'm Max Keeling, a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park, pursuing a double major in Information Systems and Finance at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. I’m passionate about exploring the intersection of technology, finance, and data analytics, while also being deeply committed to my own personal financial literacy and growth. For almost four years, I worked with Bar-T, Maryland’s largest privately-owned childcare company, in various roles that shaped my ability to lead, communicate, and solve problems. I started as leader-in-training, progressing into multiple head counselor roles, school year aide positions, and a ropes course instructor. During that time, I developed skills in managing large groups, facilitating safe and engaging activities, and adapting to the diverse needs of children ranging from 5 to 13 years old. These experiences taught me the value of patience, responsibility, and teamwork—traits that I’ve carried into every new challenge.Currently, as a Community Assistant with the University of Maryland’s Department of Resident Life, I provide service desk support for over 560 residents, managing key distribution, mail logistics, and emergency protocols. My focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service ensures a smooth experience for all residents. Additionally, as President of the Easton Hall Council, I lead a team in organizing community events and initiatives aimed at creating an inclusive and engaging environment for our hall.Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I’m an avid traveler and sports enthusiast. I love staying active, exploring new places, and learning about different cultures. My passion for personal finance also keeps me engaged with the economy and financial markets, as I constantly seek ways to improve my financial literacy. As I continue my academic journey, I’m excited to apply my knowledge in technology and finance to real-world challenges and make a meaningful impact in the business world.
