Production volumes exceeded 1.0M units per month. Managed $1.5M budget for asset purchases and employee training to support product growth. Working closely with the division quality organization, I led my team to the Six Sigma Quality Award for nine consecutive quarters. Implemented process improvements and increased PZT brick capacity by 22%. Sales growth over 3 years went from $18M to $20M despite a China product copy issue in year two.

Marketing looked to grow treadmill yield. Received production budget, timeline, and staff to assist in line balancing. Put Lean practice in place to increase daily output to 40 units. Treadmill line delivered 48 units per day, or $384K in potential daily sales. Marketing supported the extra units, generating $64K additional income.Implemented pre-delivery testing to reduce unacceptable failure rate. Vendor treadmill lift motors failure rate was at 22%, slowing production goals. Discovered a small defect in the gear cluster. Solved problem with vendor, but faced issue with sorting on-hand stock. Designed and built a portable tester to check in stock and new motors. Saved $10K/day by analyzing units prior to use on production line. Lift motor acceptance rate grew to 98.6%. Designed heavy steel frames for use with the treadmill products. Due to the weight of the frames, I modified portable hydraulic lifts to maneuver multiple treadmill frames to ease assembly.
