Max has worked as a forensic accounting professional since 2004. He founded LCS Forensic Accounting & Advisory (a certified public accounting firm) in 2012 and has been its managing member since. Max’s time is primarily focused on his lower-middle market transaction advisory practice, which is one of the largest in the United States. Max and LCS regularly provide buy-side and sell-side financial and tax due diligence services and other transaction accounting services including purchase price allocations, closing balance sheet analysis, net working capital evaluations, and opening balance sheet preparation. Clients include self-funded and traditional searchers, independent sponsors and traditional private equity groups.In addition, Max has been disclosed as an economic damages expert witness on over 150 matters and regularly provides opinions related to lost profits, M&A disputes, diminution of business value, fraud and lost earning capacity. Prior to founding LCS, Max led a team of 30 forensic accountants at the Gulf Coast Claims Facility (GCCF) in Louisiana. Over its existence, the GCCF processed more than one million claims and paid more than $6.2 billion to businesses, individuals and other parties damaged by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. Before the GCCF, Max worked as manager for C. Lewis & Company, LLP, and international forensic accounting firm specializing in complex business interruption damage measurement.
