Responsibilities: Managed a cross functional team responsible for software upgrades, maintenance activities, and enhancement deployments ensuring efficient 7x24 operations of all CIM systems at ATMC, Freescale’s premiere die manufacturing facility. Scheduled, coordinated, and managed all IT/CIM downtime requirements with MFG staff. Performed managerial tasks including goal setting, mentoring, and performance evaluations.Accomplishments: Institutionalized use of CERT (CIM emergency response team) process to address unplanned CIM downtime, use of the CERT process was major contributor to 99.99% uptime for critical CIM applications over the past 4 years. Planned and managed execution of major CIM enhancements and critical maintenance during MFG holiday shutdown, which included network technology refresh, NFS package balancing and critical database maintenance resulting in improved redundancy, application reliability, and system performance. All work was completed on time and systems were verified healthy and returned to service well before arrival of MFG start-up teams.

Scheduled, coordinated, and managed all IT/CIM downtime requirements with MFG staff. Perform managerial tasks including goal setting, mentoring, and performance evaluations.Accomplishments: Planned and managed execution of Auspex server retirement and data migration to new EMC hardware characterized as a move from an out of support, poorly performing hardware to fully supported, highly redundant system with 2x performance improvement. The move also mitigated substantial end-of-life support maintenance charges. Planned and managed execution of migration for FMO facilities material tracking system from home grown site specific end-of-life application to the FSL global MES standard for FMO sites. Migration was completed on time without a single material scrap incident. The migration provided a maintainable extendable framework while increasing application availability and performance.

Responsibilities: CIM Project planning, development and presentation of training materials, and development of future MES system standards for Freescale’s die manufacturing facilities.Accomplishments: Planned and was a key contributor for Oak Hill Probe’s conversion from manual probe card tracking system to PCTS, an electronic probe card tracking system. Conversion to PCTS substantially reduced the return to service of repaired probe cards, virtually eliminated missing probe cards, and improved probe card utilization. Developed training materials for Operator Station, a MES UI for lot tracking. Traveled to Japan to install, configure and conduct Operator Station training class for Motorola’s Sendai facility. As member of the Advance MES team, partnered with PROMIS Inc on next generation functionality and support models for Semiconductor MES systems.

Responsibilities: PROMIS administrator for APRDL.Accomplishments: Managed and executed PROMIS system configuration and support during APRDL start-up. Designed, developed and implemented PROMIS training and 7x24 support model. Worked closely with Sector CIM to establish Motorola wide PROMIS CIM baseline, which greatly improved PROMIS support and allowed all Fabs to utilize the same basic PROMIS source code.
