I'm a veteran public school music educator from New Jersey with a penchant for creative lesson development, clear written communication, excellent record-keeping skills, and friendly teamwork.Over my 10 years as a teacher, I have engendered a love of music listening, notating, and performance in over 1,000 children and their families, creating an environment where they feel comfortable being themselves, working together to solve problems, talking openly about social issues, and organically taking on leadership positions within their classroom communities. I have also developed a unique approach to concert programming, preparing diverse and unconventional repertoire that has garnered high praise from parents, extended family members, and community members alike.My work as a teacher has led me to numerous related side endeavors, such as non-profit leadership and organization, teaching fellow educators, conference presentations, and multimedia editing.In addition to teaching, organizing, and performing, I am passionate about good technology and thoughtful user interfaces. In all of my work, my nimbleness with computers has been of great assistance to my colleagues.
