I am a graduate of the department of aerospace engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder with a passion for my work. Even as a child, I was fascinated by airplanes and rockets, building gliders and model rockets that could actually fly. I completed a 100 hour internship at Lockheed Martin in the spring of 2020 where I worked in the Orion Test Labs, testing systems and hardware for the Orion space capsule which recently completed its first test flight around the moon. I was able to expand my critical thinking skills and knowledge of the engineering design process while I created technical drawings, performed audits on crew operated workstations, created standard operating procedures (SOPs), and shadowed in labs and at important meetings. I now work with Sierra Space as an integrated test engineer after having completed two additional internships on the Dream Chaser program where I have designed tests for spacecraft systems ranging from RF communications to propulsion system heaters and onboard payload networking.
