With the help of some great people, I ended up in AgTech, a field that combines my passion for Biology, Data Analytics, and Engineering. Rather interestingly, the field of Digital Phenotyping is positioned in a pronounced Data <-> Information gap. At the moment, we are capable of extracting large volumes of data by time series of non-invasive plant measurements. The question that I enjoy being part of answering is: What does the data say about a plant?I believe the translation of data to information is a crucial component in the optimization of our modern-day agriculture. We are all aware of how agriculture has an impact on our environment and ultimately climate change. Now, it is time to make the right choices and in my view, we should not make data-driven decisions, but instead, information-driven ones.Competences: AgTech, Digital Phenotyping, Crop Sciences, Python/Java/R, imaging techniques
