[Group Nine Media was acquired by Vox]In 2022 I listened to more than 90,000 minutes of music according to Spotify Wrapped. Ninety percent of that was to fuel my work at Vox Creative, Vox Media's in-house creative agency, where I:- managed a team of copywriters, copyeditors, and freelancers in three time zones- worked closely with clients to hone creative concepts- wrote more scripts than I can count (to be fair I'm not great at math)- wore the hat of a senior copywriter to write social copy, newsletter and email copy, deck materials, and sponsored article copy- often acted as a one-stop shop, strategizing, writing, and on-site directing video for the social platforms of Thrillist, NowThis, The Dodo, Popsugar, Eater, Vox, and Seeker- collaborated with social strategy teams to win the eyeball fight across platforms- maintained a mostly unimpressive standing on Music League, which I maintain says more about the other participants than it says about me

At brandshop, Group Nine's in-house creative agency, I:- managed a team of writers, editors, and freelancers- wrote and acted as a coach for all copy offerings, including: social video scripts, social copy, email and newsletter copy, article copy, pitch decks, and podcast advert scripts, among others- daily collaboration with teams in design, social, analytics, client services, strategy, pre- and post-production, and creative development- played a client-facing role, presenting and pitching creative to partners on a weekly basis- as the lone Chicago creative, regularly pitched work events in Chicago (0% success rate)
