Working with the team in charge of continuous assessment and responsible for issuing recommendations and standardizing quality practices in the company.As a Quality Manager, I:- Help teams put in place our recommendations in the best possible way while taking into account their problematics and constraints.- Ensure quality recommendations are fulfilled in all IT projects.- Give trainings about the internal tools (including HP's Quality Center). This started out of my own initiative after I realized the main reason people did not use the internal tools was because they did not understand how they worked nor the benefits they could get out of using them. I organized those training sessions to help them take their hands on those tools and demonstrate how it would help them in their day-to-day tasks. To this day, the training sessions are a success and have a noticeable impact on quality throughout the company’s IT departments.- Advise teams on how to elaborate a Quality Center project according to the needs of both IT teams and users.- Was part of a pilot project to review the company’s best practices. After the first presentations, I proposed to develop a tool to address the main issues. This proposal was accepted with enthusiasm.- Developed an internal tool to generate reports and check the quality indicators. Main features are:> Monthly indicators explaining why the ratios of some indicators did not reach their expected levels. I wrote an action plan about « How to aim to those ratios ? ».> Variation of quality indicators on a given period.> Weekly monitoring of IT requests, which are a priority in the company. The tool gives information about which requests need a first feedback, who must give an answer, and so on.I work closely with the different teams and make changes and evolutions on the reporting tool depending on what needs I perceive from them. I also take into consideration feedback and requests from our Quality managers all around Europe.

RDz is an environment provided by IBM to enhance development on z/OS based systems.My role as an assistant is to act as a buffer between developers and the team in charge of the RDz tools - even if the tools are initially provided by IBM, they are modified to stick more closely to the corporation needs.As an IBM Rational Developer, I:- Help people to solve their day-to-day problems with the software.- Perform the qualification of the tool before new releases and make sure there won’t be any problem when it comes to the hands of developers. More than 2 000 people work with it on a daily basis, so there is no room for mistakes ! ;)

As an Analyst Developer, I:- Manage, design and develop projects about French VAT for companies (C#, z/OS, HTML)- Took charge of Quality Management of projects and Project Monitoring: priorities of the week, “What has to be done to match quality milestones”.- Manage, design and develop projects about DAS2 statement (french statement on fees).The main challenges of the VAT and DAS2 projects are:- The implementation of the gathering of invoices and payments from various companies.- The processing of those invoices/payments and the computation of the amount of taxes that must be paid depending on the type of product and VAT rates. The main difficulty was handling and keeping up with all the french exceptions that exist in this particular field.- Following regulatory changes and update the computational algorithms accordingly.- Formatting the results to produce official french declarative forms as dictated by state rules.- The remote transmission of such forms and results to the tax organisms.

As an Intelligence Analyst, I:- Created reports for different departments of the company (economics, RH, consulting, IT). The development duration of a typical report was between a few days and several weeks.- Analyzed, suggested and developed new solutions to retrieve, store and process data within the DBMS. My solutions were based on Microsoft, Oracle and IBM Lotus technologies.- Produced documentation for users (mainly about how to use some complex reports) and also technical documentations about maintaining our solutions.This first experience in a big company was really interesting in many ways. I was taught a lot about reporting and had to design and suggest solutions. I learnt to make the difference between the expressed needs of users and their real needs. This internship was the perfect link between the end of my study courses and my entering of the business world.
