I managed a team of eight teachers and College Readiness Managers in a comprehensive in-school and afterschool program designed to prepare high school students for college readiness and success. I oversaw the ongoing development and day-to-day operations of an afterschool learning center serving over 650 students, and implemented innovative curricula and cutting-edge tools such as individualized learning plans to guide each one of our student's engagement with their education. Our programming included academic courses in reading, writing, and math as well as ten career pathways, mentoring, and intensive academic interventions. I led the adaptation of our programming in response to COVID-19, including our transition to online learning, and navigated the educational landscape over the course of the pandemic to ensure our students received the individualized support necessary to succeed in high school and ultimately college. Through it all, I leveraged district and internal data to align programs with college success indicators and outcomes.

I worked directly and intensively with a caseload of more than 100 students across two public high schools in Yonkers to support their academic and social/emotional growth. I designed and taught curricula to foster academic growth in Living Environment and life skills. I also developed and facilitated rigorous years-long career pathways in Debate and Journalism.

I taught English to grade 5-9 students at a government school in a rural Nepali village. I worked with local teachers on progressive pedagogy and co-teaching methodology, and ran a variety of extra-curricular projects and opportunities for local students to reflect upon and improve their English. Most importantly, I learned from my students, colleagues, and other local leaders as we worked together to build a more empathetic global community.

I developed, managed, and taught within the organization's EdgeUp nonprofit summer SAT Prep program. I hired, trained, and advised college-aged tutors, developed curriculum, and worked directly with students. Under my leadership, the program expanded from 17 to 68 students annually and students' average score gain increased from 60 to 110 points.
