About Max Safai

Thanks for visiting my profile. Conversations welcome! Email: max.safai@gmail.com Mobile: 650-804-2400Nothing is more fundamental than farming and growing food for people. In California and large parts of the Southwest and Texas, the cost of water is a determining factor in sustaining farmers’ businesses and affordable food prices.Having built my career creating products and systems that push the limits of technology and engineering in healthcare, consumer and industrial settings, now I want to do something that really makes a difference for people’s lives every day, growing food.As the population is growing, we need to be more judicious about the use of water. The M8 Waterguard™ system is an intelligent cloud-connected valve that monitors the flow and pressure in pipes or irrigation lines. This smart IoT device detects leaks in the system, shuts down the valve and notifies the farmer/operator immediately via the cloud, telling them which valve has closed and the precise location of the problem on their irrigation system. But maintaining ideal levels of moisture in the soil, requires a monitoring system, also with location and communication capability. That’s where our SoilGuard™ system comes in.SoilGuard sensors measure soil saturation, temperature and additional parameters, then transmit this data to the cloud where it’s analyzed and translated into actionable recommendations displayed in an easy to understand graphic interface.I invite you to learn more about the mission at M8 and the systems we’re creating to make farming more sustainable through saving water and building healthy soil.Visit us at https://www.m8systems.com
