Recruited by the lead investor as CEO to undertake and execute a multifaceted turnaround. Redefined the company’s vision and developed a unique sensing and cleaning technology allowing the robot to deliver intelligent navigation, cleaning performance, and self-sufficiency at a consumer affordable price point.• Built and led dedicated team that delivered a cutting edge, SLAM-based robotic technology.• Developed unique cost-effective Lidar sensing technology for the consumer market.• Negotiated and closed over $20 million of Series B and Series C financing.• Negotiated over $50 million in partnerships with Tier 1 companies in Europe and China.• Awarded “Last Gadget Standing” (CES) and Popular Science’s Technology of the future (cover).

One of two founders of the company, Photo Access Corporation was founded in late 1997. • Wrote the specifications of the product line upon founding PhotoAccess. • Raised over $8M for the company and hired the team. • Developed the first prototype eCamera in 18 months.Played a key role in divesting the company to Agilent Technologies, Inc. in August 2000, creating significant gains for all company investors and shareholders.Authored or co-authored 7 fundamental patents.

Leading a dedicated team of engineers (electronics, software and mechanical) developed multiple imaging products. Designed the award winning PaperPort line of scanners with on board hardware JBIG and JPEG compression. Products included the original PaperPort, PaperPort VX and PaperPort Strobe and two OEM product lines: HP ScanJet and Compaq Keyboard scanner.

Guided the engineering team in the development of multiple imaging products. Designed ScanMan 32, ScanMan256 and one of the first digital camera product lines, including FotoMan, FotoMan Plus and FotoMan Color.
