Better is a portfolio company of 1/0 Capital, a VC firm - I serve as counsel to both entities, with a greater focus on the role of corporate counsel at Better, a rapidly growing fintech company changing home ownership in America. - Successfully orchestrated Better’s transition to the public market via the SPAC process, served as legal lead overseeing all corporate legal functions for a successful IPO.- Counsel for M&A and investments, tech transactions, and IP management, corporate governance, equity and capital markets work, and international expansion, public company readiness.- Negotiate tech-focused commercial agreements: SaaS agreements, service agreements, including special projects and partnership functions. - Advise on a range of special initiatives and emerging technologies in spaces including artificial intelligence and machine learning, DeFi, proptech, startup incubation, and mission-driven projects.

Responsible for growing an extensive portfolio of venture capital investments in startups in the fintech space. - Lead management of VC investments, negotiate investment terms and deal documentation in the US and abroad, and manage relationships with portfolio companies throughout the investment life cycle. - Conduct research and diligence of potential investments and the fintech industry. - Provide in-house counsel advisory services to early stage startups within the portfolio, including corporate, equity, and intellectual property related legal advice.
