While obtaining a bachelor's degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I worked part-time hours for the State Corporation at the Horticulture Unit on campus as a student technician. I was primarily responsible for maintaining site facilities and equipment on-site. In doing that, I became well versed in a number of skills including, but not limited to: equipment operation, grading, excavation, drainage projects, irrigation installation/repair, mechanical diagnostic/repair, carpentry, arboriculture, individual and group projects. In all areas I was required to learn how to be self-sufficient in my tasks, carrying them to completion.
