In fact, on our second call, he said "Max, I need you to write every single day. Your thoughts... your feelings... just let it all out."I realized he was challenging me. I hadn’t been challenged since my days as the captain of my high school baseball team. So, the morning after our call, I opened up my brand new journal and wrote… and wrote… and wrote.I poured my entire soul onto that paper. Every self-doubt, every pain, every desire.My coach showed me how deep my wounds were. He showed me how my limiting beliefs were holding me back from being the person I really wanted to be. With his, and my wife Laurens’ loving guidance, I learned how to take care of myself. I learned how to recognize when I was beating myself up. I learned that my depression wasn’t me, it was an energy that was passing through me. After the coaching program ended, I had no idea what to do next. But I knew I needed to keep writing. I needed to put my thoughts on paper or I would slip back into my depression.
