I am Max Spitza, and I am currently a Junior at Fordham University School of Business, completing a Business Administration Major alongside a Business Law and Ethics Minor. With my Business Administration Major, I have an Accounting and a Sports Business concentration. I work part-time at Achen-Gardner Construction, LLC, one of the top civil general contractors in Arizona. The time spent working for Achen-Gardner has taught me various skills, such as understanding various contracts, communicating with co-workers, and focusing on the little details, which always leads to a better result. At Fordham University, I have been a member of the Gabelli School of Business's Dean's Council. I have worked on the Outreach Committee for two years and have spent countless hours finding new ways to connect the Fordham Community to local businesses in the Bronx and Harlem areas. My time on the council has not only surrounded me with very talented and driven people but has allowed me to continue demonstrating the Jesuit values of being a person for others by working in and with the community. Alongside Dean's Council, I have also played for the Fordham Club Baseball team, where I have risen to Co-Captain of the team. Last year, I joined WFUV Radio, which has been an exciting experience that taught me the importance of time management, accountability, adaptability, and how taking the time to understand something creates a fantastic result. Apart from these life skills, I have enjoyed learning more about the sports media industry and the greater impact sports have on the world.
