Box-O-Mania, a unique toy company, launched its play boxes at the 2010 American International Toy Fair in New York City, it was announced today by CEO Max Tselevich. The play box, a revolutionary product inspired by one of the world’s favorite toys, the oversized cardboard box, features more than four feet of interior space and is large enough for three children to play in. It is made of lightweight, yet sturdy plastic and is available in multiple colors with specially-designed removable and reusable stickers, which were created by an award-winning illustrator. The initial Box-O-Mania play boxes, which can be used indoors and outdoors, offer a variety of themes including a fire station, house, beauty salon and clubhouse.Media is invited to see demonstrations of the toy and stickers during Toy Fair. Box-O-Mania is located at Booth 5252 on Level 1 of the Jacob K. Javits Center.“For generations, children have spent countless hours playing inside cardboard boxes,” said Tselevich. “But now with Box-O-Mania, it truly is the evolution of the cardboard box, where kids have the perfect space to create, learn, imagine and escape in a whole new way.”The Box-O-Mania concept is the brainchild of Tselevich’s 11-year-old daughter Anna, who shares her love of playing in boxes with her father, who did the same thing when he was growing up. For two years, she tried to convince her father, a successful entrepreneur, to start a socially-responsible toy company based on the cardboard box. The company is in talks with a not-for-profit organization about a partnership, the details of which will be announced soon.Box-O-Mania is a new toy company based in West Hollywood, California.
