Revenue: A key member of the site finance team responsible for revenue accuracy and completeness.Spend Analysis and Control: I was responsible for monitoring and analyzing the site spend on continuous basis.Development Projects Monitoring and Analysis: I was responsible for monitoring the site developmental contract projects. This included monthly Revenue and COGS calculations for 606 Revenue recognition purposes.Balance Sheet Reconciliations: I was responsible for site monthly general ledger accounts reconciliations which included prepaid contracts & expenses, accrued expenses, royalties, pension liabilities, and development projects inventory.

I was leading five AP Accountants and responsible for five to seven locations (companies) performing various Accounts Payable duties ranging from invoice processing (both manual and automated AP software), answering vendor enquiries and accounts reconciliations, processing vendor payments across multiple payment systems and platforms. In addition, I liaised with various site finance managers/buyers and end users to get POs/invoices approvals, train new team members, and performs interviews and make recommendations for employment of new members to the team.

My first opportunity (a foot in the door job) in a new country. I was mainly responsible for processing vendors invoices, processing payments, vendor accounts reconciliations. In this role, I successfully cleaned up piles of backload vendors invoices (avoiding credit holds) for every location (subsidiary company) I was responsible for and brought all vendors accounts to current due status.

As the Financial Controller, I lead the Accounting Department and was responsible for the following:• Ensured proper accounting records were properly maintained and controlled.• Prepared monthly management accounts and annual financial statements. • Coordinated with bankers in review of all bank activities and administered the cash management system.• Established and implemented internal controls. • Provided support and expert financial advice to the Executive Management Team.• Supervised and provided leadership to the finance and accounting team of the company.• Ensured financial compliance with external regulations.• Prepared financial projections for contracts proposals and for bank loans applications.

As the Financial Accountant, I was heavily involved in the day to day running of the accounting department. I was responsible for but not limited to the following.• Supervised the Accounts Payable team and reviewed payment vouchers, supporting documents and journals. • Ensured effective management of the payments cycle and payment generation. • Reviewed and posted journal entry transactions to the company ERP System.• Reconciled balance sheet accounts, monthly supplier statements, and bank statements.• Planned/Conducted quarterly inventory counts and performed reconciliations/variance analysis.• Maintained petty cash expenses, fixed assets accounts, and updated all fixed assets schedules. • Reviewed staff outstation costs and staff loan accounts and brought them to date. • Collaborated with operational management team to ensure purchase orders were raised for all business expenditure and approvals were given on a timely basis. • Assisted the Financial Controller in preparing month-end management account reports and cash forecasts.
